Texas to D.C.

We are headed to the Arsenal of Democracy in Washington, D.C. between September 21 and 28, 2020. You can play a part in determining the route we take there and back! To put a pin in the map, donate $1,000 to our cause. We'll go out of our way if necessary and fly overhead low and LOUD. The map above is a guide for where we can go. We'll either fly over on our way up to D.C. or on the way back. We'll work with you to make sure we fly right where you want us.

As we fly overhead, our media team will be mentioning sponsoring individuals, companies, towns, and cities. If you have a specific veteran you want honored, let us know and we'll make sure we mention them as well. To the extent we can, we will be livestreaming direct from the aircraft and we'll do our best to give you a chance to hear from the crew!

While we won't know our exact route until a few days before our departure, we'll make sure to give you a heads up about our planned arrival overhead, and you will be able to follow the flight on our Facebook Page.

WHY WE FLY

Inspire and Honor

The mission of the Commemorative Air Force is to Educate, Inspire, and Honor.  We keep these airplanes flying as a tribute to the men and women who built, flew, and jumped from them.  They are our Greatest Generation, and within the decade, none will be left.  It is up to us to make sure their hard won lessons endure.

Like everyone, our organization has been deeply impacted by COVID-19. While we often do flyovers for events and communities, and the cost of doing them often exceeds several thousand dollars. This is an opportunity for us to raise funds while at the same time giving communities that might never have a chance to see us an opportunity to be a part of our mission.

Other Ways to Contribute

$1,000 is a lot of money.  Especially today.  We get it!  If you can't do it yourself, you can still be a part of our mission by sharing with your friends, neighbors, and business associates.

Our team can help you put together a local fundraising campaign using GoFundMe or a Social campaign using Facebook - you might not be able to do it by yourself, but a little teamwork may go a long way. It's a bit of work, but worth it!  Contact us and we'll help you get started!

That's All, Brother led 800 aircraft dropping 13,000 paratroopers of the 101st and 82nd Airborne on D-Day - the invasion of France - in 1944.  Cared for by the Commemorative Air Force, she was restored to her original wartime condition and returned to Europe in 2019 as part of the 75th anniversary of D-Day.  One of the most historically significant aircraft still flying, That's All, Brother is based in San Marcos, Texas with the Central Texas Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.
